What I Didn’t Pack on Vacation

It’s good to think things through. It’s good to create a strategy. It’s good to ponder things.

It’s NOT good to have your brain running 100% all the time, planning, going, moving, etc. And that was my problem…

You see, 2020 is here and I am beyond excited to embrace this new year. That means I’ve been spending quite a bit of time brainstorming, calculating and scheduling things. It looks like it’s going to be a pretty great year!

Stay tuned…details on fun farm happenings are coming soon!

The problem? Vacation. I love taking trips and going on vacation with my family. However, I almost always pack my constant thoughts and business plans with me. They tend to consume me and distract me from spending quality time with family and enjoying a bit of relaxation.

This time is going to be different. By the time this blog posts, I will be finishing up a family vacation. I pre-recorded my YouTube videos and scheduled my emails ahead of time. I left my computer at home and uninstalled the social media apps from my phone. In fact, I’m not even going to let myself do any business planning or farm-related brainstorming.

The goal: come home refreshed and rested, ready to embrace 2020.

So, that’s all I have for today! Hope your 2020 is off to a fantastic start! See you next week!
